Great yuppie environment with the obvious ginormous selection of beer. Haven't had dinner here, but the appetizers are acceptable. Question though, who in their right mind would go to Yard House for sushi?! I saw an Asian guy eating sushi there... an Asian guy! ...something is just so wrong with that picture! Haha.

Without a doubt, this is my favorite place to happy hour. It doesn't get much better than sitting on the outside patio, watching the sun set over the LB marina, drinking a fine Belgian Ale or IPA on draft with good friends. Many of my summer afternoons are spent this way. Great prices on craft beers and 50% of most of their apps, most of which are quite good. I'd have been keen on giving this place 5 stars, but it's not a place to go in the evening. It gets loud and crowded, filled with douchebags, flat-billers and cheeseballs. Not my scene. Avoid the nightlife and go for they happy hour!

I live in the area and out of all the Yardhouse's I've been to I really enjoy this location. Expect to wait at least 45 minutes because this spot is always busy. I enjoy eating on the patio and looking out at the water and boats. Tonight I ordered a chicken and avocado sandwich, which was okay. Nothing special to it, but the shrimp ceviche we snacked on was delicious. I tried an old 43, which was a tasty bourbon drink that I will order again. Service is not quick because this location is constantly busy, so enjoy your company and the beautiful view!!

Food was great but service not so much. We had a party of 10 got seated in a decent time amount. But then the service went downhill. Our server got our first order and then took a 30 minute where we were ignored. Tried to get drinks place our order which became impossible. A quick dinner which shoould have taken a hour have to take dinner took 3.we wish we could had more drinks but we couldn't get service. If you have a party that is semi big stay away from here !

My gf & I loved coming to this location. As to be expected for every YH location, service is alway great. They know what customer service is all about. Love the view of the marina & how level-headed the hostesses are. Menu is visually tantalizing to the palate. Touristy location. Lots of movement around you. Cheers!

Brandon the bartender is the best. Very friendly and knowledgeable about everything on the menu. I had the guacamole and chips which was perfect for one person and only 295 calories. Bar was clean and well stocked. The restaurant overall was very clean and organized. Even the rafters up above and heating ducts were dust free... Something you don't see too often. Patio seating is a nice treat when it's warm out. I had the Honkers Goose Island beer, a recommendation from Brandon. I'm a Sam Adams drinker and this was a fantastic alternative.

Yardhouse is one of the few chains I actually like. It's location at Shoreline Village is also pretty prime, so great place for a casual date or just to grab a few drinks with friends. Outside seating is pretty sweet (depending on weather) because you get a pretty kick *** view of the water / marina. Would definitely go back again.

I think I have had my final straw with Yard House.. As far as I can recall, I don't think I have ever had a pleasant experience here. I came here for a quick dinner.. Didn't want to order drinks because I am trying to watch my sugar intake and right when I ordered water as my beverage, our waitress' face turned into bitch face... Right at that very second I thought, "this bitch thinks we're not going to spend a lot so she's gonna be an asshole" and boy did that come true... Talk about self-fulfilling prophecy! Anyways... We order the lobster, crab, and artichoke dip which was ok but the cheese seemed like it was the cheese that was in between Ritz crackers... Didn't seem like the price was worth it... Or maybe the waitress' attitude played a part in how I felt about our appetizer... What a difference service can do huh?! So I ordered the Seared Ahi Steak Sandwich and when it came out they gave me a steak sandwich.. It's funny too because the waitress asked me if medium was ok as to how my sandwich will come out and I thought "ok, that's fine because that's how they usually cook ahi..." Next thing you know, I have a steak sandwich in front of me, which is ok, I can adapt, but the meat was not even medium, it was F*ucking well done! It even had a wooden stick saying medium! GROSS! I felt like I was eating cardboard... The steak knife it came with wasn't even strong enough to cut through it.. Maybe there was an error on the chef's side.. Or maybe there was miscommunication somewhere between the waitress and one of their workers... But I know I ordered my ahi and I even pointed at it on the menu.. By that time I was like, "let's get the f*uck" out of here.. She asked us if we wanted dessert and we declined.. Our experience here was done.. No thanks ever again! As we walked to my car I vented, naturally. Then I recalled that a few years ago my friends and I had a birthday party there and prior to the party I came to drop off an $80 Baskin Robbins ice-cream cake that they said they could keep in the freezer for me until our party. When dinner was over and time for our cake, it came out soft because they didn't do what they said! If you have a box of cake from Baskin Robbins, it's kind of obvious that there will be ice-cream in it.. They compensated us $60 for the cake.. Which by my math, $80 minus $60 does not compensate for the cost of the cake... But anyways.. The past is the past and you have to learn from your mistakes and I think I have had enough mistakes here at Yard House.... Totally not worth my time. I would rather eat a McRib that is WAY more juicier than the "medium" steak I had tonight.

On June 7th, my boo and I went to Yardhouse, it was my first time there.I got the Swordfish fish tacos and he got the beef tacos. My plate with the swordfish tacos, and rice were very good. However, I was disappointed with the beans in my saucer that were cold, the beans looked and tasted like canned beans. The server was nice, which is a plus since it was a busy night. If I had to go back, I would go back, but I probably wouldn't order any canned beans that I can pick up at the dollar store and cook myself to be hot.I have worked in a restaurant before so I am understanding but very picky about health when it comes to food.

Sadly I went here to celebrate my mom's 61st birthday. It was a party of 8, nothing too big. There was a women's Soccer game on TV at the time of our arrival. To fidn parking it took us (2 cars) about 30 minutes to find parking. After we parked it took an additional 45 minutes of waiting for a place to sit because the inside was crowded with Soccer fan, I think. I waited 20 minutes in line for the restroom, I counted 13 people in front of me for the 3 stall restroom. I had to leave and walk 9 stores down to go pee. Once we were seated they had crammed a bunch of tables together in the center on the outside deck, that's where they wanted us to sit. The unbrellas didn't cover all of the table and I was asked to sit in the sun by Bree, the other waittress, and not in a nice tone either. I told her I'm not sitting in the sun and she dismissed me and left without saying anything, just plain RUDE. She wasn't even our waittress. So then about 8 minutes later a manager comes out to say you can't sit here because it's a fire hazard and the fire department has been here all week. What kind of story is that? Let's just make up something so we can force her to sit in the sun that we prepared for her. I had to basically not sit with my family because of the area they decided to sit us in. At this time I had lost my appettite and was ready to leave, which is something I would have done if not for my mother's birthday. Out of fear that Bree's attitude would get the best of her and she would do something to my food I didn't order anything. I ate off of my aunt's plate of food. It wasn't worth me giving any of my money to this place. The manager sees that I am not pleased or having a good time and I look inside to see if there was room available for our party of 8. Were we given the option to move??? NO. I looked at the other spots outside that had move umbrella shade coverage, were we offered those seats??? NO. From what I tasted the food was good and that's why I gave it 2 stars. The experience was UNACCEPTABLE. When I dine at Yard House I do so in Downtown Los Angeles. I will not be returning to Yard House Long Beach. Oh and I wathed a bird take a poop on a lady's shoulder that was also outside, funny, but I wished the bird pooped on Bree the waittress. My waittress was Angelica and she was nice but busy (even though it wasn't crowded outside on the deck).

When we arrived, I went to the restroom which was a mess, a stall wasn't working there was no toilet paper. I had to find some cause no one was cleaning the restrooms and stocking them. So the line then was out the door. I went to the host and told her she rolled her eyes and was like good. I was shocked. I should have got a thank you. But ok. Then we ordered out appetizer that then came out when our meal. And we hadn't even taken a bite of the meal. I then touched my fries that's were cold. Then I looked at my burger which was a bbq burger and there was no sauce and it was cold. I'm giving this service a one to the lack of feeling appreciated and lack of poor service. I'm sad cause we actually were here to celebrate our nephews birthday. Which I felt bad for him. Don't come here to celebrate a birthday.

I should have known better (I come from family and friends that are not Yardhousians), but we were hungry and just wanting some bar food appies. Checked in with the hostess. Since we requested first available, she said it would be about five minutes. Then proceeded to watch groups of all sizes coming in after us get seated before us. After more than a handful of after-us parties got sat, I went up to check on our spot on the list, to which I was told, oh, we're ready for you. Must have been a miscommunication between the hostess stand and the pager, I'm sure. We were taken outside, where the hostess seating us clearly had no idea where we were going. Confused, she offered a table that was wedged between two other tables without space for the chairs to come out. There was a nice corner table that just needed to be bussed, but she was not having any of that, even when we asked to sit there. We probably should have just left, but we accepted the wedged table, which she turned so that my friend was snugly nestled to the person behind her and I got the pleasure of sitting with my back to everything, facing the window, which acted essentially as a mirror. (Ever had to watch yourself eat the whole meal? Not fun. I apologize to whoever was on the other side of that glass.) The food was ok. The chicken strips actually have a hand-breaded taste to them, which was a nice surprise. Although the wrong beer was poured for my friend, the one high note of the meal was that the woman bringing the beer noticed the color was not right and took it back to be replaced before either of us said anything. We rarely saw our server, to the point that we paid with cash and walked out rather than wait for her to come back and get our cards (I'll never understand servers who let adult beverages go dry or don't have any haste to pick up the checks). Minus the one woman delivering the beer, service was lousy. We joked it was because we're clearly out-of-towners. Won't be coming back to any Yardhouse. There's enough other chains to choose from.

Well usually I LOVe the yard house but apparently long beach is not the same as san diegos!! They are out of the first 4 beers we ordered. The sprite for the kids tastes like soda water... And my $9 artichokes are uncooked! I hardly ever send food back sine I was a waitress for years... But I had to this time! Couldn't even take the leafs off. I will say the nachos are good though. Oh yea and it smells like dirty mop water in the whole place. Ewwwwe Update: ok so food came and I suggest you don't order the pizza because it came doughy. And we ordered pepperoni NO mushrooms but of course ANNA didn't hear and it came with much rooms which 4 people at the table HATE!!!! (So I'm pretty sure we asked for none) l Again...I swear I don't usually complain but this is ridiculous u

All in all, a place of way too much waiting and not enough else. Welcome to another round of Two Star Tuesdays! SERVICE: ------------ The hostess had so much attitude that we might as well have been seating ourselves. The estimated wait time was 20-30 minutes. When she asked me whether we wanted to sit inside or outside, I consulted my friends for about 3 seconds. When I answered "inside", she was clearly annoyed that I hadn't been able to decide for eight other people. Then I asked whether sitting outside would involve a shorter wait. Her reply: "Ummm it would be even LONGER (like, duh)". How did my friends respond? An immediate and simultaneous "YELP IT." Naturally, I wouldn't want to disappoint them. The waiting continued at the table. We were starving by the time we were seated, so we wanted to order our food at the same time as our drinks. Our server was curt and not very friendly. Contrast this to the San Jose location where the server made me want to keep ordering! Here I did not want to order a single extra thing because the wait for the food was very long. The time between being seated and receiving food was almost 1 hour. FOOD/DRINK: ----------------- The food matched up to the other Yard House I've been to in San Jose. I enjoyed the **New York Steak Salad**, which included some decent quality steak and a healthy yet anemic looking salad of field greens, roasted peppers, avocado, green beans, chips, onion, tomato, fried pickled egg and topped with gorgonzola vinaigrette. The **Tuna Poke Tower** is a must-get for me as I love the contrast between the tender raw fish and crunchy chips. We all shared two orders of **Truffle Fries**, because these are pretty much the best things ever. The **Malibu Peach Martini** was pretty delicious. Drinks never disappoint at Yard House. DATE TIP: Bring someone here you won't mind waiting around with. You'll have a LOT of time together. First stop should be at the bar to kick the night off right!

The wait time was a bit extreme. The food and beer was good but was over priced. Will come back only on special occasions. Other than that, waitress was nice and attentive.

Why would I give a chain restaurant such a high star rating? Cause I can cause it's my opinion that's why. Yardhouse. I don't think ever in my life I have dined here unless it was Happy Hour. Their Happy Hour is hard to beat. Plus their beers on tap pretty plentiful for a chain restaurant. 9/10 times if my buds are wanting to go for drinks. Yard House Happy Hour is the way to go. Other reviewers might go into detail about the food. Cool. Not me. I just care for the Happy Hour. Call ahead.

My boyfriend brought me here for mother's day and it wasn't what i expected. We weren't acknowledged till about 15 minutes after we got there. A couple that got there after us were seen before us which kind of upset me. So we finally get to place our order; my bf got a pizza and i got a half rack of ribs. they messed up on my order so i had to wait even longer. After i got my order it wasn't even complete the way i ordered it so by then i was already over this place. This ruined my whole mood so i honestly didnt even eat my food from how upset i was but eh its an alright place. I might come back to the bar side but i dont think i would want to recommend this place after my experience.

I am wiring this review based on a dinner that involved the WORST service and Management interactions I have actually ever experienced. My husband and I have been at this location previously for appetizers and beer- it's in a prime spot on the water and they have a great beer selection. This visit was with an out of town guest. We went on a Sunday during football game viewing time for some appetizers and salads. Oh boy. I don't even know what to start about what went wrong. I felt bad for the server because it definitely seemed like he was in over his head working a football rush crowd. Almost every table was full and there were people waiting to be seated. To make a really crappy situation abbreviated for purpose of you having to read this I will just list the things that happened. -wait to order anything was terribly long -waiter couldn't let us know if certain allergens were in specific dishes -we ordered beers and it took about 30 minutes to get them. -we ordered two appetizers and 2 came out- one was what we ordered and the other was someone else's. But don't worry- that table had taken and eaten our second appetizer so we were ok to take theirs??? -salad orders were EPICALLY messed up and took forever -the chicken in my husbands salad was pink and chewy- key sign it wasn't cooked through. Glad he didn't get sick. So that in itself is quite the list. The worst of it actually happened once we expressed concern. First, we were told that we were not going to have to pay for a beer that was forgotten and for the appetizer that the other table got and ate. WHAT?? Then the interaction with the manager happened. This was the WORST part of the whole situation. The Manager took a lobg time to actually show at our table, and when he did- he completely threw the waiter under the bus and said he didn't know what he was doing. It was super uncomfortable, and honestly really unprofessional. The funny thing Is that we saw that same manager having to stop at other tables to apologize for the bad service and expediting, so they clearly had a problem managing that volume of customer. It was crazy how much he blamed on the waiter. Two of the three of us at our table work in the service industry and we all recognized that yes- the waiter was in over his head, but the expediting at the bar and in the kitchen was definitely not being managed properly. The manager said he would take care of us, and when we got our bill there were like two things taken off, under $20. My sister in law ended up having to follow up again with the manager and he eventually ended up coming our terrible meal. I was really blown away at the level of unprofessionalism and unawareness by the manager and some of the staff. I felt bad for the waiter who was thrown into a busy Sunday. The food could have been a health hazard (the orders that we actually got). Overall, I've been to a couple of Yard House restaurants and this one has hands down been THE WORST! Avoid it if you can.

Service here has always been great for me. Their outside seating is really nice with the view of the boats and water. Watching the sunset over great food and drinks is definitely a relaxing activity after a day of hard work. Overall the ambiance could be romantic but also a great place to meet up after work with coworkers or a group of friends. A pretty delightful atmosphere. Food is good but nothing over the extreme. I usually just order their appetizers. They have one of the best fried calamari. But of course, I love their wide range of beer selections. My favorite has to be their raspberry framboise. Conclusion: Good food, great drinks, good service, awesome crowd.

this is the worst place i've ever been. the security gaurds are prejudice. they make it impossible for regular people to get in unless you look like you have lots of money, then its no sweat. i would never go here again because when i was leaving the security gaurds were ganging up on some colored people because they were being drunk. please refrain from going here if you don't want drama.

I love going here for Happy Hour! The food is cheap and it's awesome. My favorites are the garlic noodles, the mini burgers (the french fries are great), seared ahi sashimi, and the buffalo wings (the sauce goes straight up your nose, though, so be careful). I wash it all down with some Framboise and I'm good to go.

It's a yardhouse. It looks like a yardhouse. The food is yardhouse food: i.e., pretty tasty, but kind of overpriced, and probably the same as you could get at a yardhouse anywhere else. I'd probably be more excited about the place if I liked beer, given that they do have an impressively wide selection of it (though if I liked beer, I'd still probably rather go to Congregation Alehouse down the block, which also has an impressive selection of beer, and also way more exciting food for cheaper.)

  • Andie B.

Cons: a) This is a huge place and the beer selection is endless BUT the ladies room has only 3 stalls; b) We only ordered appetizers and they were forgettable except for the crabcakes; and c) Parking is expensive. Pros: a) Courteous service; and b) Has a good view--it is by a small-boat harbor like Marina Del Rey (if you're into that).

  • William D.

We were trolling around the marina waiting to go into the aquarium around 2:30 & noticed this place was full of people when the other restarunts in the area were empty. Went back for dinner with the girls & and it was a twenty minute wait on a Thursday night. We were seated outside next the heat lamps ,nice view of the harbor 100 beers on tap ,hipster music coming out the speakers, all was good. Ordered the garlic noodles with shrimp & lobster & it was hella good. The misses had the ahi & the little one had a margaritta pizza, which were both excellent. All three agreed it was one of the best meals we had out recently.

Huge selection of beers on tap. Food is fairly good too, considering their reputation is alcohol. Good for sports junkies too because of all the TVs. Can get busy at night, so be prepared to wait for a table. Lots of outdoor seating. Good happy hour/MNF specials too.

I used to not be a huge fan of Yard House. My first time there I read some of the food reviews posted up in the front. The food was very tastey but in my opinion pricey for what it is. We were also seated in the middle of the restaurant in between the bar and the booths. Your going to have to appreciate the liveliness of the restaurant if you come here otherwise you'll probably not enjoy your experience. I also came here last Friday night(around 11pm) had no trouble getting seated and was quickly served our food. Our waitress was really sweet, which is awesome to have on a hectic Friday night. This place definitely hits the spot with the selection of beers they have and there HAPPY HOUR specials. I would say this place is an okay place to have dinner, but I definitely come here for the Happy Hour!!!

I love draft beer, this is the place is fantastic. They have about 100 different beers on tap and somehow kept fresh. Food and service also very good, but the beer list is incomparable. going back for the soccer game.

I'm not a fan of chain restaurants, if you haven't been able to tell yet. But, Yardhouse is a good staple for happy hour, lounging on the patio (the view is tremendous!), and best of all- its right behind my home. We come here on a pretty consistant basis.. probably because we are lazy and don't want to drive anywhere. Besides, its much safer to walk! I don't think I've EVER been in here when its slow. Does Yardhouse even HAVE a slow time? Oh, wait, they have like 500 beers on tap... of course they don't have a slow time. They have an assortment of great hefs, Wyders Cider, and Framboise Raspberry Lambic- ALL ON TAP! The food is so-so. Not too bad.. not the greatest ever. A lot of their appetizers have an asian flair- sushi rolls, edamame, potstickers... things of that nature. I like the calamari... and the firecracker wings are pretty good.. that sauce is great. One thing about Yardhouse.. you better have that i.d. handy if you're planning on drinking... because you're gonna get carded- by EVERYONE. I get carded at least twice pretty much everytime I go in there. Could it be my youthful glow? I'm not sure. Oh, and Yardhouse, get some air flowin through your back bar area! The flies are swarming and its getting pretty gross. I know gnats are a pain in the ass, but I sure as hell don't want them all up on my onion rings. Gross.

Holy crab cake! Visit the Yard House at The Pike for the outstanding beer selection, happy hour, and the Blue Crab Cake Hoagie. Their crab cake sammy is served with thick lumps of crab meat, fresh avocado slices, Swiss cheese, tomato, applewood smoked bacon, and a spicy Cajun aioli that rocks! I would go back just for the sandwich, it was that memorable. Service was good and parking is validated with the meal.

How can you not love a place that carries a copious amount of beers on tap?! I feel like a kid in a candy store when I go here because of all the amazing options. Although I make an effort to always try a new kind, I find myself occasionally slipping back to some old favorites. Anyway, I went here on a Wednesday night and was seated right away. I usually get pasta or the enchilada stack (which is amazing!) but I decided to go with the turkey melt this time. The kicker? It has pickled jalapeños...yum! My friend got the bacon cheeseburger and agreed that his food was just as good. The little added bonus was that they were playing tons of 80's music throughout the restaurant but apparently someone didn't get the memo about people probably wanting to talk with others at their tables. It was so loud most of my conversation with my friend consisted of quite a few questions like "what?" and "huh?" Nonetheless, totally good times.

I went here w/my friend to have a couple drinks. This place gets sooooo crowded at the bar there was like no where to sit ESPECIALLY if u were a guy. Half yards are about $11-14. I would want to go here again, but try dinner @ a table.

Love it here! We always go for happy hour and monday night football (because its happy hour all during the game). All the food we've ever had here was great and they carry craft beers you won't find anywhere else in the area. Vibe is good, servers are friendly, and parking is inexpensive for the area with their validation.

When I first moved to Long Beach this was the first bar my cousin took me to and I loved everything about it. The atmosphere was great since it was next to the dock. Beer selections is very wide open and cover charge isn't that much.

I like it. I went here last week for my friend's bday dinner. Parking was easy (don't forget to validate!) and the food was tasty (not too over-priced either! ). I ordered the Mac N Cheese which had chicken and mushrooms in it. A grown up version if I must say ;) At first it "looked" dry but I was proved wrong after I realized " Crap! I ate this entire plate... so it must've been good! " Our waitress was super cool. Even though the dinner was intended for one person, she gave us 3 extra free desserts because 3 of us had birthdays in November ?!?!?! Go fig. I'm not one to complian if someone hands me a free chocolate souffle - and that sucka was good :)

Let me say this first. I love the Yard House. I been to Vegas, Palm Desert, Newport Beach and I love it. Until Denver . . . After eating there on the 11 of October with group of 40 friends, 5 of us got so sick that some of us needed an IV from dehydration after the runs for two days. The manager was sympathetic and promised gift cards, but they never came. After speaking to another manager tonite, I am compelled to write this review. He was dismissive and questioned whether any of this even took place! I tried to reason with him for 20 minutes, but to no avail. No apology was offered until requested and he questioned if we should even receive gift cards- AFTER WE WERE LAID UP FOR 2 DAYS OF OUR VACATION! Poor customer treatment.

Wish I could give more stars, 'cause the staff is great. But when you're dropping $40 a person on dinner, you have basic expectations of your food. You expect it to come in a timely manner, simultaneously, be tasty, and not make you sick. Yardhouse did not pitch a good game when I went. Yes, they were definitely busy, getting hit all at the same time with grads (like myself!) so we didn't have high expectations for speed. No big deal. Company was good. So it took a while to get food, but the staff was attentive in the meanwhile and apologetic for the wait. A bit after our appetizers, our food came out. But only three plates out of four. The waitress promised my boyfriend's mac & cheese was right behind ours. Ten minutes later it had still not shown up. Apparently the kitchen had told our waitress it had already been brought to our table?? Once his food did finally show up, my mom had almost finished her meal. Booo. The manager brought the plate, and apologized profusely, and promised to take the mac & cheese off our bill. So... okay, fine, that's cool. We thought it was nice she took the initiative and offered so we didn't have to decide whether to ask or simply pitch a fit on Yelp later. ;) But his mac & cheese had blatantly been rushed. The noodles were undercooked. Also, my linguine was mad spicy... which is really annoying. On the menu the red sauce is described as spicy, which suggests that the white sauce is, um, not. But my white sauce had a ton of chili flakes in it. Because no wait staff was showing up long enough to talk to- instead they were dealing with the mac & cheese issue- I didn't have a chance to ask to send it back... I could either have waited and been really hungry or just eaten it. So I went with the latter, but it got to the point where I just couldn't eat anymore, because what was left was unbearably hot. Admittedly I was the spice wuss of our party (hence my ordering the *not spicy* dish), but everyone else (who are spice fans) tasted it and agreed that it was pretty kickin'. When our waiter finally came around to ask about how the food was, everyone else had finished their food. I told him how spicy the pasta was, and he offered something new (which is nice), but come on, I'm not going to order something when everyone I'm with has finished eating! The parking validation is only for two hours, dude. :P Finally, the knife in the heart of the evening was the fact that my mom, who is sensitive to preservatives used on vegetables, got really sick after eating the veggies (carrots and sprouts) in their poke stack. Again, for a $40 meal, you kind of expect to be able to keep it in your stomach for more than ten minutes after eating. Lame. So, serious kudos to their waitstaff and management. They were pretty efficient under pressure. But I think it's obvious that their kitchen staff does not have it together in the slightest.

Who wouldn't love a 3 ft long glass of beer? They are pretty but I ordered a Blue Hawaiian. Delicious! The views of the harbor are spectacular! Now my husband hardly ever veers away from steak n shrimp. He decided to try the Jambalya w/ brown rice. Carlos was a happy camper! I had the gorgonzola / shroom, meh. They were a bit skimpy with the Gorgonzola. Crystal, our waitress was just Wonderful!! I let her pick our mini desserts, I LOVE SURPRISES. Chocolate souflee, lemon soufle. and banana/chocolate creme brulee. The brulee was heavenly. Yummo. :):) One word of advice, if any resurant has a wait time for a table, ask if they have a full menu At the bar!! Why wait if you don't have to? We eat out quite a lot and have never been told No, about the menu. The Yard House is a Terrific place for lunch, drinks, dinner, first dates.

Yard House - Love the food, love the music, love the location of each of the ones I've been too.... Long Beach - Best outdoor view! San Diego - A nice place to eat before going out in Downtown Irvine - Tons and Tons of TVs!!! Great place to watch a sports game I guess many yelpers have yelped about their poor service.... haven't had any bad experiences yet....

Ok so we came here after another place dissapointed us and I must say I was satisfied. There was a bit of a wait but it was Labor Day weekend so we didnt complain. The service was good but I had to take off two stars. One star because my food was a bit on the greasy side and another star because my sour apple martini was weak. Maybe they put half the alcohol because it was half priced for happy hour. Overall the experience was cool and I would give them another chance to get the five stars.

This is a cool place but make sure you go before the crowds so you can get a seat at the bar. The selection is the shit! If you get a booth the yards are kinda awkward to drink so I suggest the bar. The food is ok for people that are not as picky as I am. By normal people I am told the food is quite good. Two yards and I am set! The bill will be a little on the pricey side for drinks and a meal though so be warned.

so we came on a wednesday night for happy hour for my friend's 21st. 4 margaritas 1 screwdriver 1 newcastle 1 hefe 4 chocolate cake shots lettuce wraps onion ring tower spicy tuna roll four cheese pizza all for around $20-22 divided by 3 people!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! how great was that? needless to say we were all full.. and the drinks were pretty yummy. our waitress didn't really check up on us that much though... and there weren't a lot of people. but all in all, yummy food, and go to the 1/2 price happy hour.. it will be worth it. (also seeing ALL THE BEERS THEY HAD ON TAP WAS JUST GLORIOUS!)

ok I came here for my friend's bday. Service was great!! Food was really good. Its kinda expensive but so worth it. Escalade drinks are sooo good. hmmm and my friend got a strawberry blonde beer which was fruity and good too. I got the Maui chicken. Everyone else got burgers and pasta. We sat outside. We had a great time and view. They have parking lot. Restrooms and everything else is super clean. Nice, calm atmosphere. Everyone that comes here dresses semi-casual. I will come back here again for sure. We did had to wait for half-hour to get a table but is was because we were so many.

so i've gone here for my lunch hour to eat and at night for drinks, and it's always been good. except one time they lost the paper with my order and i sat there for an hour and was very late to work, but they didn't charge me for the food, and it was just one out of the so many times i've been here so i'll let it slide. my favorites: chinese garlic noodles grilled chicken and avocado desserts: i've had the creme brulee & the chocolate souffle and they were both good they're fries are soooooooooo good!! they have a ton of different beers, but i hate beer so can't help you there, their mixed drinks were good though ;-) i just wish they would take reservations...

Hosts, very pretentious. Prices, pretty high. We had the spinach dip, grilled shrimp dinner, chicken strips, fries, ahi sandwich. All in all the food was good, but not great. Our friend mentioned something about the Yardhouse being famous for letting beer sit in the lines for way too long and going bad...after that, I had to order bottled beer in case he was right. Our waiter was sooo fake, kept calling the women "m'lady" like we were at the friggin' renaissance fair. It's basically just a good central meeting place and a good place to bring a tourist (which we had in our group). Nice view.

If you like Beer than this place is a no-brainer. No need to think about it too hard. You will most likely be able to find it here. This is a lively spot, it's usually always busy no matter the day of the week so you may have to wait 10-15 minutes unless your with a very large group. The bar area wraps around in a circle, which is good cause every so often you can get up and do a lap (gottta get that exercise in somehow). On to the grub - had the Miso Chilean Sea Bass and sampled the Jerk Chicken. The Miso glaze on the sea bass was fantastic, it was a nice compliment of tanginess to the fish which was seared to perfection. A nice accompaniment of jasmine rice, edamame and carrots and bok choy, although I'm not a fan of bok choy. My dining companion said it was cooked well. The Jerk also had a nice flavor to it, growing up in NY I've had the opportunity to eat alot of Jamaican food and while this did not immediately bring back reflections on those times, I was none the less pleased with the offering. All in all, this place has a nice selection of varying dishes, a little something for everyone, the menu is ALL over the map. How often do you go somewhere and see pizza, burgers, steak, seafood, pasta, even a couple token Mexican & Asian dishes on the menu? But hey whatever works. Almost forgot to mention the plasma's showing SPORTS. Niiiiiiice.

I'd been coming here for a long time, then had a bad night with lousy service (snooty, unhelpful front desk staff), inadequate heaters outside on a cool & breezy night; about half of the heaters were not even working. I left and vowed never to return. Wrote to home-office management & got a very cordial reply. But I'm always ready to forgive one bad night, and who could not come back to a place with this gorgeous setting on the docks. Front desk still a bit officious, but no complaints about the food at all. I love the crab cake sandwich! You couldn't ask for a wider selection of beers. Like Jack's next door, come at sunset and sit outside. It's why we live in Long Beach!

This was the first Yard House that I've been too. It has a great location right next to the ocean. They validate your parking so you can get away with only spending about a buck extra after dining to leave the parking lot. While they no longer carry full yards, the super long tap was amazing to see. They carry just about any beer you could want including their own house brews. I went twice, the first time just enjoying the lively atmosphere of the bar. The second time, I tried a few food items including sweet potato fries, clam chowder, a crab cake sandwich, and mac & cheese. The fries were okay while the clam chowder and crab cake sandwich rocked. The mac & cheese was light, not too cheesy, but my palate was still pleased to find delicious mushrooms and bacon pieces throughout. I would definitely recommend this Yard House and can only hope when they build the new locations in San Jose and Roseville, CA that they are just as good.

Good happy hour menu and awesome location. I love sitting outside right by the water while enjoying a drink. The service is pretty good; it sometimes takes a while to find a seat, but they do try to seat you as quickly as possible. Relaxed atmosphere outside; inside you often get groups that have too much to drink and are loud, but just know that going in

In town for a conference, so I stopped by for a quick bite to eat before heading back to catch up with some work (it never ends...). It's conveniently located next to my hotel so a short walking distance for me. It has a nice view of the dock and there was a good crowd considering how all the other nearby restaurants on the pier were near empty. I didn't want anything fried so I started with the Hawaiian Poke appetizer since the waitress recommended it. I was not impressed. The tuna did not taste fresh and it looks like the plate was sitting there for a while before they brought it out so the crispy layer was soggy. Not a good way to start off the dinner. I ordered the Miso Seabass since it's my favorite fish and always order it when I can since not too many restaurants offer it. Even with the crowd, I wouldn't say it was extremely busy but it took a while before they brought my dish out. I was ready for another let down again, but I was totally surprised when the dish came it out it actually looked very presentable. It was a large portion of seabass sitting on top of brown rice, bok choy, carrots and edamame. The fish was cooked perfectly. Too bad the appetizer sucked which takes away a star and the slow service takes another. However, I would consider coming back again before I ship out and maybe trying other dishes, like the cheese sandwich!

Happenin' place on a Friday night! Shoreline Village is such a beautiful gem in the middle of busy Long Beach. A great place to stroll around in the daytime but also a wonderful place to have dinner and drinks with friends at night! Wow, my friend Seyla N. introduced me to this new beer, Lindeman's Peche and he hit it out of the ball park! I am not a beer drinker and prefer sweeter white wines like Moscato so he knew my taste. Toast to you buddy! The bloody mary was also suprisingly good! I think I might have a drink dilemma the next time I'm here. Food was de-lish! My four bernaise sliders were filling and satisfying for a steal at $10.95. My bf and I shared an ahi poke stack and it's one of my favorites on the menu. The atomic wings were also a suprise! Honestly, I rarely order an entree from the menu. I love their appetizers and they are overall a better value. Come here during happy hour and most of the appetizers are half off! What a steal!

We missed happy hour but still enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant. We had a fantastic waiter and the food was great! I had a soft shell crab sandwich that was so good, I was upset I got full LOL recently found out a Yard House opened in Atlantic Station (Atlanta, GA) so I'm hoping their food and service is just as good as it was in Long Beach!

I can't believe a chain restaurant can be this good! They have a huge beer selection. I randomly ordered a Blonde. I got the Drake's Blonde, which was good but I have had better. But their food was the spotlight. Nachos were good. Onion rings - off the hook! The rings had a rosemary garnish that flavored a couple of the rings. I ended up rubbing Ms. Mary all over the rest of my Rings. There burgers ARE ONE OF THE JUICIEST, FLAVORFUL burgers I have had. And I love burgers. I ordered the Peppercorn Gorgonzola. I expect peppercorns but there were way too many, and all whole. The texture and pepperiness was overwhelming. I just picked them off. Good food, very slow service. But the workers were trying, it just felt understaff for the night.

One of the best restaurants and views in Long Beach with the greatest happy hours. We usually go here once or twice a month and hope we can get Max to serve us, he is very enjoyable and friendly and always has great recommendations for us and keeps us coming back. Try the spicy tuna poke style it's great!!

Service was friendly but the price was not fair. The restaurant as a whole was dirty. Nats flew around the draft beer, floors were dirty and the restaurant had an old, drunk-man smell. I order pastrami sliders and bread was cold. Only highlight was free parking.

This was our second annual trip to Long Beach and The Yard House. We decided to return based on the Halibut we has the previous year. We sat outside again and the people watching was great and the weather. We ordered the halibut again but our server returned to our table to inform us they had sold out of it. We were disappointed as it was delicious on our last visit. Our server checked to see if we could have the salmon prepared the same as the halibut, she informed us that it was do-able and again The Yard House did not disappoint! The Kendall Jackson Chardonnay was delicious as well.. Great service too!

When you go to the Yard House... Please... No matter what the weather is, sit on the patio. They have heat lamps for nippier days. This patio oozes all types of, (damn I 'm so glad that I live in this city) aura... The sunset is gorgeous. The view of the Pike is gorgeous... The food is pretty ... mmm o.k. The things that I had I always felt like, "This is good, but it needs.... SALT!" The Jambalaya on pasta is yummy. They aren't stingy with the meat... Crawfish, sausage, shrimp. YUM! The Jamaican wings everyone talks about are pretty bland, UNLESS you soak them in the dipping sauce. They have about a trillion beers so there is a beer for anyone. The cocktails are good. But make sure you go for Happy Hour so you can get your well earned discounts. Its a safe place for a second date or happy hour... But do your self a favor and sit on the patio. O and its one of the only chain restaurants in Long Beach that is worth your money.

Great food but after our appetizer we got the "Im going home so this girl will be taking over" speech. At that point service was non-existent except for the check drop off. That was worth a $1 tip for my $136 meal. Next time I rather pay a visit to Del Taco.

For me, I see no reason to go to Yard House other than it's tap selection, which includes around 100 beers, and of course, happy hour, which runs Sun-Wed nights 10-12. All beers are under 5 dollars, $2 off glasses of wine, and there are specials on well drinks too. About two thirds of the appetizers are also half hour, though I would suggest going for the sliders or a pizza, especially if you're in a group. As for the restaurant, the food is quite tasty, yet for the price and presentation I am always left feeling shorted. No disregard to the menu, it just seems to blunt my palate rather than excite it. When you eat here, you're paying for a great view of Downtown and the Marina, not for any culinary feats. Concerning the bar and nightlife, it gets happening on the weekends, but I rarely interact with anyone who does not fall into the category deemed highly materialistic. If you can't read through my politeness, then you will most likely LOVE this place. If you want to meet some sleezy dude who wants to invite you back to his "yacht" for some shots of Goldschlagger, they you will DEFINITELY love this place.

Recently, they have banned motorcycles from the Shoreline Dr. restaurant parking. Just last Saturday, May 22, 12; I was down there with my date on his Harley and he got a tow warning. Obviously some residence are complaining and this has got to hurt business. Most motorcyclist will just take their business elsewhere, there are hundreds of restaurants in LB that don't ban motorcyclists. I have nothing against the Yard House, but feel I should mention to motorcyclists not to go there on your bike.

Went there with a group of 6. The wait was LONG on a Friday night but we called ahead and that helped. Dinner was good, but not AMAZING. I wasn't a fan of my deconstructed California roll ... I'm a simple girl, I like good food that looks like I'm used to it looking and tasting. Whatever. Dinner and drinks for 6 people was $200. Service was just so-so because they were so crowded. None of the food came out together so half our table would eat and while the other half watched and then vice versa. It was a fun atmosphere, but not sure it earned it's $200 dinner bill and 20% tip AND $10 for parking. I left hungry but happy.

Great server named Shay. Blah food...definitely not fresh ingredients. Tasted like they prepped it this weekend and deep fried it today, both the Moo Shoo chicken eggrolls and the Pizza. Best taste was the spinach salad and spicy garden salad. 2 Beer types had no head, no fizz - they probably don't change the weekend taps on Monday. Disappointment.

Just like any other Yardhouse, except this one is always busy! I mean, people have to actually WAIT for a long time to get seated. Very busy, loud, fun, and has a great waterfront view and walkway. Food is always outstanding, drinks are always refilled, and the service is always exceptional....even though they are BUSY! Don't leave this place until you've tried a yard-long glass of beer, their mac & Cheese and their artichoke dip! Don't forget the creme brulee w/ strawberries! Mmmm......

Ok so I came here yesterday with a group of friends on the half way point of a 56 mile bike ride from El Monte. We stopped in for a quick bite a a beer. Being a hot day we had sun screen on but we wanted to stay in the shade and they had a pretty good area out side with coverage by umbrellas. Our first server was Ashley who was night but just not very attentive nor did she help with the one person in our group who asked if we could adjust an umbrella because she was getting burnt. Also she switched out a drink for us but left in on the tab, finally when asking for dressing on the side and not getting it she tried to tell us the chicken was coated in a dressing which it wasnt instead of just bringing the dressing. I only mention these petty things because it was frustrating although as soon as our server was switched to Jessica, all was fixed for the most part except the billing issues which Kurt helped to straighten out. On to the food, great flavor, good value, and over all enjoyable, something that can be hit or miss with these corporate type of places. So many beers on tap and a good variety makes it hard not to like this place. Location on the water is nice too. Having had all service issues resolved and really enjoying the Bacon BBQ burger, garlic fries, and chocolate stout float, yes beer float!!!! We will be back soon. I love bike rides, good food, good beer and good company.

Four stars for happy hour, two stars for service so three stars average. Having just turned 21, I'm looking for the best happy hours around, and believeeee me, Yard House, has got the best happy hour that is considered "gourmet." The best drink on the happy hour menu BY FAR, is the Watermelon Martini, or the Pomegranate Press. The watermelon tastes like a watermelon jolly rancher and the pomegranate tastes like a bomb pop! So amazing (if you're into sweet alcoholic beverages) The wait staff brought our food out, and until we asked her AFTER the fact, to get our waters, she didn't apologize for not asking us (which is a huge pet peeve of mine) Other than that, the food was amazing (because during happy hour, selected appetizers are half off). I've been here NUMEROUS times so I'll tell you what's good, and what to avoid. The buffalo wings are great, as well as the firecracker wings. The spicy tuna roll is my FAVORITE (instead of your regular spicy tuna roll you see at sushi bars, this tuna roll is just one huge one, that has huge chunks of fresh tuna), I've also had the sliders, which were okay. Chicken nachos aren't as great as people think they are, and the spinach dip is rich, so if you aren't a fan of cheesy gooey goodness, I would steer clear. The garlic noodles are the asian gods' gift to Yard House so I recommend it! I would advise people to not get the California Roll because it doesn't taste fresh. But overall, BEST happy hour out there! Expensive food reduced for the average joes, and believe me, you'll ALWAYS leave either drunk, satisfied, or both!

i've never been disappointed by the yard house so it's no surprise this one was great too! my friend and i chose this place for our carb-loading before our race. we were right there in the LBC and she had never been to the Yard House before. we certainly changed that. the only thing bad thing i can say is that there's always a gang of people waiting in line. they'll give you one of those vibrating beeper thingies while you wait. we went straight for the bar so we didn't have to wait. the food portions are pretty big so i usually end up ordering something from the appetizer menu. it's more than enough for me. for our carbing up, we had the chicken garlic noodles and grilled jamaican chicken wings. then we slipped in an alcoholic beverage in there while assuring each other that it was ok to drink ONE drink before the race. other things i love to order from this place: - chicken nachos - seared ahi sashimi - kona coffee ice cream sundae - house tropic (alcoholic bev) - pear cider and yum! they have a martini menu. :) happy hour is from 3 - 6 pm then again from 10pm to midnight.

The Yard House was ok, i think Claim Jumper is a lot better when it comes to taste. They had a tone of beer on tap which is nice if you want to try something new. the out door eating area is a great spot to look out in to the harbor. but my over all experience was not that great food wise thus the two stars.

This place is way too crowded. Which is a plus, indeed. And of course you got to love their world wide varieties of beers served in half yard glasses! BUT food wise,....DIS GUS TING!! I must have to blame our waiter for recommending us the most disgusting meal out of the menu. Maybe it was because we're Asians which he might've assumed we would like their Hawaiian Ahi Poke Stack... Whatever. It was DIS GUS TING. We also ordered their Onion Ring Towers. Now seriously, what kind of restaurant could go wrong with these? umm.. Yard House. The rings were literally soggy and drenched with grease. DIS GUS TING. I also remember we ordered pasta but forgot what kind because it was too disgusting to remember. Even though the food was nasty, everything turned out swell at the end. Thanks to the the half yards, it overpowered all the downsides. Better recommended coming in with a group of friends and just DRINK DRINK DRINK.

Food is always good and the beer is always cold! The sea bass is to die for and it literally melts in your mouth! The eye candy isn't too bad in this place either.......big screens always have the games on them (whatever they may be) and they serve food until late. Crowd is always good and I can always count on this place to be happening! This location has a great outside patio overlooking the marina....other locations are great for food, crowd and drinks too.

Alright...Let's just get to the bottom of this one. I am a firm Yard House Lover, but this one, specifically in Long Beach, has an issue. I went a month back with a couple college friends of mine and I fully intended on having a good night at Yard House. It was a thursday, and it was busy as I expected, since the other restaurants are not usually as busy. I put my name down and they told it would be 20 to 40 minutes depending on the tables. So I waited my 40 minutes and my friends started to show up, so I asked where I was in the seating. I apparently had been mixed up with another person and so I had to wait longer. So I was a little annoyed, but then when they called out my name the host thinks that I'm not the same person that the call was intended for even though it was my name and the number of people I had requested. I was PISSED - wanted to leave, but I didn't want my friends to feel the let down of defeat, so I ended up waiting an hour and half for a table. ALWAYS MAKE A RESERVATION if it is a Thursday, Friday, or Saturday night. Aside, from the horrible experience upon waiting and waiting we got seated along the water on the outside patio - great view. Had a couple beers and some great American food. I really do love this place (I love Yard House in general), but for the love of Jesus they need to be more organized when it comes to the evening dinner rush. And they need to have a better rate for parking - validation only reduces the price. Prime location though.

LOVED THE BAR!!! I recommend the Pomegranate margarita!!! Hmmm yes!!!! HATED the wait!!! We waited about 2 hours for a 15 party table. The food was good of course but c'mon...I was hungry after two hours of waiting.

Hey! Do you have a friend whose turning the big 2-1? Wanna get them crazy drunk on their birthday? Then make sure you avoid Yard House at all costs. Wait, wait, I know what you're thinking. You're thinking I'm a little bit crazy to advise you to steer clear of the place that at any given time has 100 - 250 beers on tap?? That's right folks! Went here for my friends 21st birthday with a group of about 15 and of course we were sending what must have seemed like an endless stream of shots in the direction of the birthday girl. At one point she and another girl went into the bathroom and when they came back out one of Yard House's managers came over and said that one of the servers "thought" my friend was puking in the restroom and that she would have to leave the building. Now, hold on a minute. Don't make any quick judgments. I know it's common practice for establishments to excommunicate patrons who are sloppy drunk and puking. And you're probably rolling your eyes thinking "OK, this Yelper is leaving out details and misreporting exactly how drunk this person was." However, I swear to Jeebus that my friend was NOT sloppy, NOT causing trouble, and even if she did puke, Yard House should be grateful that she was at least neat and tidy about it! But noooo...they wouldn't even let her stay just to eat... Yard House, I'm ashamed of you! I would think that when a group that size is throwing money at your business that you would try to work with them to make sure you don't leave anyone angry and making statements such as "Well, I guess we're never coming here again." Side note: They didn't even make sure my friend had a safe way to get home. They just assumed that someone at the table had driven her there (and we all know what happens when you assume!). So if you're ever drinking alone or with a smaller group in Yard House and you're too drunk to drive, they pretty much don't give a crap as long as you pay the bill and leave the building.

I'm a fan of yardhouse...and I exceptionally love this yardhouse because its right on the waterfront. Awesome views of downtown Long Beach. So relaxing and the food is always delicious!!!! LOBSTER GARLIC NOODLES, AHI POKE, AND THE CRAB CRUSTED SWORDFISH WITH WASABI MASHED POTATOES ARE SOOOOOOO GOOD! YOU GOTTA COME HERE IF YOU'RE IN THE LB!

I used to go here all the time back in college, but I haven't been back here in years. Seems like nothing has changed except the crowd seems a bit older (maybe mid/late 20s and up). They don't take reservations and require that 80% of your party (I have no idea how they came up with this percentage) must be present in order to get seated. My coworkers and I got there around 7:45 p.m. on a Saturday and the place was PACKED. We ended up having to wait an hour and a half for a table for 12. They have a huge selection of beers, which is wasted on me since I don't drink beer, and a nice selection of martinis (though someone ordered the special Irish Berry Martini, which tasted like alcohol and milk...blech). The bartender I ordered from was great -- both times my drinks weren't strong enough, so he was more than willing to add another shot of alcohol to it. Food is slightly above average and come in large portions. Oh, they also validate parking for 2.5 hours, though the parking lots fills up quickly. Good place for large groups if you don't mind the wait.

Great place to dine after an uneventful day at the aquarium of the pacific! The chicken nachos were delightful and fully stocked with splendidly white chunks of chicken and accurately spiced beans. The Spinach cheese dip could have some "work" done...the taste reminds me of the prepackaged Costco dip. The Roasted Turkey club sandwich is not all that dissimilar to the club sandwich at Denny's...which was an immense disappointment. The BBQ Bacon & Cheese burger was edible and perceived a bit better than the six dollar burger from Jack in the box but will most likely never order that again. The margherita pizza was acerbic but distinguished a virginal array of unprocessed ingredients so was joyful. Now the Chicken enchilada stack (do yourself a favor and add shrimp to your enchilada stack) was/is exquisite! WOW, those essences marry so perfectly well together and make every bite a dramatic episode! I truly enjoyed this dish!! The southern fried chicken breast was awesome but can't seem to disregard the thought of the enchilada stack....sorry can't elaborate any longer :-( Do try the green tea ice tea or splash it up as a green tea Arnold palmer...very nicely paired!

Went here on my recent trip to Cali....Love the scenery because it's right on the water, the food is great, but our waiter service is what made me drop a star from this review.....I don't remember her name but she was horrible....Anywho, try the crab drip...it was delicious...they have awesome drinks as well...

My BF ordered the top sirloin steak, with the portabello mushroom and garlic potatoes. It was cooked to his liking and was tasty and flavorful. Since he doesn't like mushrooms, I was able to enjoy the tasty morsel! It was delicious! I ordered the spicy jambalaya, over jasmine rice. It had shrimps, sausages and chicken, tho they substituted longestinos for the chicken, which I didn't mind at all! The spice level was just enough to perk it up but not so overpowering where it is hard to eat. The rice was a bit overdone so it was sticking together and the whole dish was a bit on the greasy side. The brew was good as I tried the honey ale and my BF had the Slim Chance. Both were mild and had unique flavors. The service was a bit slow, but it was a very busy evening. We dined outside it it was so dark, it was hard to see the food and to try to read the menu. Will probably try the one in SD sometime, more for the beer than the quality of the food, tho we may go for the burgers or pizza.

Yard House, land of beer on draft, and also the land of way overpriced menu! So yes, great, you wanna go to a bar with lots and lots of beer to choose from and perhaps get drunk, perfect place, except for the fact that the beer is way overpriced as well... but me, I like to eat and drink, so having to spend west hollywood money in a long beach pub seems stupid to me. I can't say I didn't have a good time here, and the service was fine, but I just can't see why they charge so much! Anyways, it's an okay place, nothing uber special about it. When in Long Beach though, i'm sure I'll find myself at other places more than this place.

I've had a lot of fun at the Yard house. They have so much beer. They have so many cool appetizers. It's right on a pier. I highly recommend the Piraat ale. Not only does it make me feel like a pirate (arr!) but it tastes great and has more alcohol than any beer I've ever had without being bitter. Brilliant. I need to order some from belgium.

bar review only i've been here a few times with a large group of friends and have had a decent experience every time. they have quite the selection of beer and having the options to get your order in a yard, half a yard, or pint glass definitely adds to the novelty of the place. with so many import beer options to choose from, you're bound to have one suited to your taste buds. in addition, finishing the yard of beer can be an amusing challenge. the liquid doesn't seem to be moving as fast as it is down the cylinder until it hits u in the face... literally.

a few years back, a couple of us artful dodgers gathered 'round to drink and be obnoxious...and chose this yardhouse to do it. this was back when the the yard was sold in glasses... while waiting FOR-EV-ER for a table, we strolled up the bar for the full on yard experience. i remember ordering a yard of Sam Adams Strawberry Wheat Ale...mmmm....ale. so there we were...waiting eagerly, and patiently for a table to open, all the while attempting to pull off a Beer-fest influenced night. if memory serves me well...i don't remember staying long at all, the only thing i remember is what a bitch it was to get to the bottom of the yard w/o spilling beer down my blouse (were we in ensenada???)...and my bro walking out with a yard glass down his pants...which, to this day, he has in his living room. ~cheers to the memories!

I ate at the Yard House for the first time last weekend and I would have to say I really enjoyed it! The service was good and they have over 200 beers on tap! The outdoor patio overlooked the Long Beach harbor and there are multiple TV"s around the restaurant. The food was excellent and the desserts were even better. The prices were reasonable for the location and portions. (Ask for the sweet potato fries)!!!

I like the selection of cider and the food is always decent. The view of the harbor is nice, but I don't particularly care for Shoreline Village.

the yard house is a long beach classic, i think and this locale is my favorite. went back for the first time in ages for drinks on a thursday and was pleased to find it just as it was ages ago. (when i say "ages" i mean "3 years ago.") so while long beach has changed immensely as of late it's kinda nice to know the yard house has not. the novelties are the ginormous list of beers on tap and the yards and/or half-yards of beers available for your drinking pleasure. cool to look at, impossible to drink. more than anything i've always liked the space..hardwood floors with black accents throughout and dimly lit. outside you've got the patio with a lovely view of shoreline. happy hour friendly and the food ain't too shabby either.

I have been going to the Yardhouse for the past 10 years, and sadly I only have to give the place only 2 stars. When I first started going here in 1998 with my friends, the place was great because it was the only location (or quickly one of 2 locations). The food quality was excellent, and the beer selection was wonderful. They had Caffreys Irish Ale (which unfortunately is not made anymore because of the bastards ay Coors since they bought the company) I digress, back to the Restaurant. I have gone time and time again, and as they added more locations, the place has seemed to turn into an upscale TGI Fridays. We were there a month ago (on July 17) around 6:30 pm and the service was terrible. They brought out all of our dishes, but forgot to bring my wife's. Finally 10 minutes after the rest of our food arrived, they brought hers, but it was the wrong dish. Five minutes later, they brought the correct dish without an apology, and looked that she had started to eat the wrong dish because she thought it was hers. Food quality, has gone downhill like stated earlier and seems more mass produced rather than an individually prepared dish. It is really sad to see this happen to a once great restaurant. I hope that they can return to what they once were

Fun corporate place with really good food and an ungodly amount of beer on tap. Hell yeah they had Fat Tire. Great view and we woulda stayed longer except it was 'Tip a CHiP' day that evening and so we bailed before that foolishness got going.

If you have never been to a Yard house, it's worth making a trip. The location of this Yard house is almost perfect. Their beer selection is top notch. The food is good, but not great. If you do go down to Yard house, make sure you sit outside by the water. It makes drinking 15 beers a lot easier. The macaroni and cheese has to be my favorite dish on the menu. Although the chicken lettuce wraps are worth eating too. This place can make for a great Sunday and a horrible Monday.

cold hoegardden from tap + jamacain jerk wings + sit me outside on the marina = im a happy camper. usually pretty crowded and will have to endure a wait but its worth it to just chill and enjoy your day. nothing wrong with having a drink at 2 in the afternoon and enjoying your day outdoors

Above average food with above average prices to go along with it. The food is worthy of partaking. The server that we had was nice and service was speedy and accurate. A very busy place so make reservations if possible.

I've been coming to this location since it opened and year later, I still love sitting on the patio in the late afternoon for some decent food and the people watching. Our last visit was perfect. The main bar was a bit crowded so we ended up finding a couple seats at the other bar. It was definitely much quieter and the bartender was on top of things. We got our drinks and onion ring tower quickly and had just enough time to eat our app when our table became available. By the way, the onion rings are yummy and the chipotle sauce is awesome. The only complaint my husband has is you don't make a cadillac margarita with Rose's Lime Juice. The hostess sat us at what she called her best table on the patio. It was the best table on the patio, in the corner along the railing just as the sun was beginning to set. My usual picks: chicken nachos, seared ahi sashimi, bbq chicken salad, any of the burgers and the roast beef dip. Of course the beer, plenty to choose from and something for everyone.

Good for Happy Hour -half priced appetizer menu allows you to try new dishes without spending a fortune. Excellent selection of beer. Honestly, the only thing that irks me about this place is their handling of large parties: you have to wait until EVERYONE gets there before they even give you a beeper! So on a busy night when you want to celebrate with friends, you end up waiting 1.5-2 hours. And no, they don't take reservations. Other than that, I've always had good service and their food is pretty consistent.

Three stars for the food. I wasn't impressed, but the fries were good. I also liked the giant beer selection. The service was good. Now I feel bad and feel like I should give them four stars....nah....three is perfect.

Came here again for a birthday group. Speakers and rock music was so loud when we sat down we couldn't even hear anyone. It was never really turned down either even though our waiter requested it. So two stars for the noise. Place is crowded but seem to be able to seat people fairly quickly. Appetizers, and main courses are numerous and many very good and many very greasy of course too. But add 1 star for the lobster pasta that I ordered but not enough lobster actually. Beer is the thing to order here. Waitress came with the two desserts we ordered for the two birthday people but didn't ask if we wanted anything else, more desserts, coffee? This waitress had taken over for our great male waiter who went to lunch. But the new girl was barely there for us. Parking is $1. Fun place otherwise.

How can you go wrong with 200 beer taps? Well, the answer is that you can't. This Yard House, one of many but definitely the original, is my favorite. This was one of the first places in SoCal to carry Alaskan Amber on tap when it was finally available south of the bay area. There is a beer/drink choice for absolutely anyone on the planet and the happy hour prices rock. The food is good, sometimes very good, but you can always count on it. It does get a little loud in the evenings so think twice before having a business dinner where you need to discuss contract terms here but otherwise, go there, have a beer, watch the game or the sunset, and have a great time.

This is a fun place for happy hour but a bit too popular at the moment. Seems like waay too many people like it too and it's just filled with people with all expecting the same thing. They all want to people watch and they all want to be the life of the party at the same time. People, you're trying to hard. Just relax and enjoy the food.

One of the best things about living in Long Beach is that we have beautiful days most of the time. When we get one of those gorgeous days, with blue skies, perfect weather, just enough breeze, then let's hope we are not at work and in the area to hit the rail for happy hour. Sitting outside on the patio is a simple pleasure that is best enjoyed with your closest buddies with a cocktail in hand. There is nothing spectacular about the food. It's not bad, it's just not the best. Their selection of beers is pretty cool and really the happy hour is a good reason to visit the yard.
